Dear friends of the Lirot Association,
Soon, we will celebrate the holiday that symbolizes freedom in Israel and throughout the Jewish people.
However, unfortunately, this year again, many families will mark the holiday while thinking of the hostages and the soldiers still fighting.

Despite this, we must remain strong and hope for a better future.
The Lirot Association continues its extensive activities and is pleased to share with you updates and news from the world of ophthalmology.

We remind you that you are always welcome to reply to this email,
let us know what interested you this time, what additional information you would like, what we can improve,
and of course, feel free to ask questions and receive a personal response.

Wishing you a peaceful and enjoyable holiday season!
Nadine Hollander, CEO of the Lirot Association
The Association Team, the Board of Directors, and the Friends Association

Eye tests in the community

We would like to share with you a feedback Letter that we recieved from Ms. Mazal Levin, following the Eye Screening Day Conducted by the Lirot Association at the Health Center, Herzliya Municipality:

"Good evening,
Dr. Meir Yehezkel gave wholeheartedly of himself.
All the patients were pleased with his attentiveness and patience.
He answered every question and stayed far beyond the allocated time.
The examination was thorough and professional.
Many thanks on behalf of everyone and the Herzliya Municipal Health Department.
I hope for many more years of collaboration.
You are doing a great service—well done!"

The Lirot Association wishes to expand its community eye screening project to workplaces as well and is in need of donations.

Protective Glasses for Soldiers

Fighting Has Resumed, and Requests for Protective Glasses Are Pouring In Again
Commanders are once again reaching out, requesting protective eyewear for their soldiers. Here is an example of a recent request:

"Our battalion went on its first break since October 7th, and we discovered a huge gap in the availability of protective glasses. We have no way to provide them, and as the logistics officer, I searched for possible sources and came across your incredible donation initiative. I wanted to ask—would it be possible to assist our soldiers?"

At this time, all funds raised through our crowdfunding campaign have been utilized. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to purchase and distribute over 500 pairs of protective glasses to combat soldiers.

Now, word is spreading, and the need continues to grow.
Help us support the soldiers who protect us day and night—so we never have to turn down a single request.
