Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP)
                                             
Peer Reviewed Alzheimer's Research Program (PRARP) – 'Transforming Research Award'

This award supports independent investigators in conducting transformative studies to reduce the risk of or prevent Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD), with a focus on high-impact outcomes.

Budget: $ 1 million total.

Duration:
3 years.

Precision Mental Health: Develop Tools to Inform Treatment Selection in Depression (UG3/UH3)

The call seeks to aid in developing predictive tools or biomarkers for personalized depression treatment selection. It encourages diverse teams to address scientific, clinical, and commercialization needs, with a phased approach involving tool identification (UG3) and validation through clinical trials (UH3). The overarching aim is to create objective tools for treatment selection in clinical practice.

Budget: $500,000 in direct costs per year.

Research on The One-Health Perspectives in The Emergency Management Cycle

This call seeks to tackle food systems, One Health, and resilience challenges through interdisciplinary research and targeted initiatives. By addressing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, it aims to develop solutions for the pressing issues exacerbated by crises like the ongoing Iron Swords war.

Budget: Up to NIS 300,000.

This call is aimed at researchers in maternal fetal health and related fields. It supports translational discoveries focusing on preventing adverse maternal and child outcomes, addressing racial inequities, and improving cardiovascular health and maternal stress mitigation.

Priority Topic Areas for This Call:

- Late Spontaneous Pre-Term Birth.

- Racial Inequities as They Relate to Morbidity and Mortality Outcomes for Mothers and Babies.

- Cardiovascular Health Conditions Developed During Pregnancy or Exacerbated During Pregnancy.

- Maternal Stress, Its Impact on Pregnancy Outcomes, and How to Mitigate the Effects.

Budget: $200,000 total.

Ascending Investigators 2024 - 'Any Field Related to Brain Research'

The call aims to support researchers in advancing their careers through research that enhances understanding of the brain or improves prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of brain and nervous-system diseases. Projects should demonstrate potential impact on neuroscience and human health.

Budget: DKK 5 million (DKK 1 million more for substantial international collaboration with personnel exchange).

BIRD Energy
                                             
U.S. – Israel Joint Energy Proposals 

This call aims to foster innovation in clean energy technologies by promoting cooperation between Israeli and U.S. entities. Projects should focus on areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart grid, advanced vehicle technologies, and carbon reduction. The ultimate goal is to develop commercially viable solutions that address climate impact and reduce carbon emissions.

Budget: $1.5 million, with joint R&D budgets requiring at least 50% contribution.
