This program aims to foster scientific and technological collaboration between Cypriot and Israeli researchers, bolstering the partnership between research groups in both countries.
Focus Areas for this Call:
Environment.
Protection of the marine environment and biodiversity.
Decarbonization of ship operation.
Renewable Energy.
Renewable Energy production technologies.
Digital management and monitoring systems for the production and distribution of energy.
Energy efficiency in urban environments.
Health.
Translational Research on molecular and medical genetics for treatment of diseases.
An explicit goal of 'Lower Saxony' is the establishment of long-lasting collaborative relationships (therefore the inclusion of early-career researchers is encouraged).
It focuses on different disciplines each year, with the current call inviting proposals specifically from the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Budget: Up to €500,000.
Duration: Up to 4 years.
Note: Early-career researchers are defined as those who have received their PhD within the last 7 years.
Multi-Scale Models for Aging, Alzheimer's Disease, and Related Dementias
This call invites proposals for multi-scale computational models to understand dynamic changes in aging and AD/ADRD.
It welcomes various computational approaches, including mathematical modeling, image analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, to explore aging processes and AD/ADRD across different levels, from molecules to behavior.
Investigator Awards are designed to fund projects with two or three aims, which are usually led by a single principal investigator (PI) but may involve collaborators. NETRF also supports transformative basic, translational, and clinical research studies.
These projects are comparable to an NIH R21 grant, which supports exploratory and developmental research projects, allowing researchers to gather preliminary data. Such data will then test innovative ideas that may lead to more substantial research endeavors in the future.
International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG)
LOI: 2024 'Large Grants'
ICRG supports research initiatives focused on gambling disorder. These grants aim to facilitate in-depth explorations into the etiology, prevention, and treatment of gambling disorder, as well as the development and evaluation of responsible gambling strategies.
The ICB is currently inviting research proposals for applied research leading to direct benefit for the cotton industry in Israel in accordance with the focus areas (partial list) below:
1) Examination of growth interfaces
a) Improving the growth interface (includes growth regulators)
b) Optimal preparation of the harvesting area
2) Treatment of crop protection hazards
a) Coping with macrofumina
b) Improving the pest control interface
3) General
a) Conservation agriculture and improved "non-invasion" interfaces
b) New and innovative mechanization methods in the field
The Scientific Publications Section of the RDA is available to edit academic articles written by independent BGU researchers. They are also available for consultation about proposal writing and development.
Priority is given to the written material of new researchers (first 3 years at BGU), who receive the service free of charge.
