Wellcome LEAP
Call for Proposals: Untangling Addiction

The increasing global rates of substance use, addiction, and overdose deaths call for innovative approaches to address substance use and alcohol disorders. Understanding the biological factors influencing susceptibility to addiction and intervention response is crucial.

This program aims to identify non-invasive biomarkers (e.g., blood tests, somatosensory evoked potentials) to assess the neurobiological aspects of drug abuse. The goal is to enhance the effectiveness of prevention and treatment through quantitative methods.

Duration: 2 years.

Budget: $50 million dollars has been allocated to this program. There are no pre-set number of awards. Award amounts will result from the project costs. ALL direct and indirect costs are covered.

ERA-NET JPIAMR & The Ministry of Health (CSO-MOH)
Pre-Proposals: AMR Interventions 2024

Topic 2: Enhance, compare, or assess existing strategies, technologies, treatments, methods, protocols, or data collection related to interventions. The goal is to prevent or diminish the rise and spread of antibacterial or antifungal resistance, treat infections caused by resistant bacteria or fungi, and propose new policies.

Eligibility: There is a requirement for a consortium of a minimum of 3 PI's.

Budget: Israeli PI's recieve €140,000 total for 3 years. Israeli Coordinators will recieve an additional €40,000.
