Lirot's Activities with Zoom

 

 

We had to change our activities especially in eye care prevention in the community and adapting to new situations
Many activities such as meetings and even our general assembly were held by zoom to keep everybody safe during this pandemic

 

New activity with our eye mobile

 

 

Since our main eye care for blindness prevention project are elderly in need all over the country, we developed a new service of reaching out to the patients with a doctor checking their eyes at their home
 
Since the month of May we visited many at their home in Tiberias, Jerusalem, Beer Sheva, Tel Aviv, Herzlya, Haifa and more cities

Our new journal on eye health in print and digital 

 

 

A new brochure on eye diseases for elderly to be distributed when we visit them with our eye mobile project 

 

 

A medical conference ( by zoom) with 8 doctors on how to take care of your eyes during the pandemic 
 

 

 

With the Israeli Society of Ophthalmologists and Prof Anat Loewenstein

 

 

A new video on Glaucoma with Prof Hani Verbin and other oustanding 
doctors

Developing RP and Uveitis Patients Community

 

Activating Support groups and sending them new research information
We had a very successful zoom conference for Uveitis patients in September

 

 

And a new forum managed by Prof Zohar Wilner was added to our 7 existing forums who are giving daily consulting to patients approaching Lirot with medical questions

 

Research in Stem cells

 

Our chairperson Ohad Lahav initiated the Israeli Innovative staff for research and development in stem cells
who had already few zoom meetings with outstanding researchers from all hospitals and universites in Israel

 

Grants

 

We received for the 4th consecutively year a generous grant to check more elderly in need as well as kindergarten children in preventing medicine
