Implementation of the MTSS Approach Among Educational Teams
Proposals should focus on the implementation of the Multitiered System of Supports (MTSS) approach among educational teams in Israeli schools, focusing on long-term integration, organizational and pedagogical challenges, and outcomes for both teachers and students.
Key Focus Areas:
Multitiered Support: The MTSS model provides tiered support to address cognitive, emotional, and social needs of students, aiming for 80% effectiveness with universal interventions (Tier 1), followed by small group (Tier 2), and individual interventions (Tier 3).
Holistic Implementation: The research will evaluate MTSS in terms of school leadership, team collaboration, and internal motivation to adopt the model.
Impact Studies: Explore the positive effects of MTSS on student behavior, language skills, and teacher well-being, along with promoting effective use of data for decision-making.

AFSP Suicide Research Grants support studies aimed at increasing our understanding of the causes of suicide and factors related to suicide risk, or that test treatments and other interventions designed to prevent suicide.
Priority Areas: 1. Ethnic and Racial Diversity: Research focused on suicide prevention in underrepresented ethnic and racial communities, addressing health disparities and inequities. Proposals from researchers of these backgrounds are particularly encouraged.
2. Understudied Populations with Elevated Suicide Rates: Focus on groups with higher suicide rates that are not well studied, such as those experiencing interpersonal violence, individuals with disabilities, and people in specific settings like foster care or correctional facilities.
3. Survivors of Suicide Loss: Research on the impact and healing process for individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
Budget: Up to $125,000 total
Duration: 2 years
Eligibility: Investigators from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply, and both basic science and applied research projects will be considered, provided that the proposed study has an essential focus on suicide or suicide prevention.
The British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grants are available to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. Funds are available to facilitate initial project planning and development; to support the direct costs of research; and to enable the advancement of research through workshops or conferences, or visits by or to partner scholars. (Grants cannot be used for travel where there is no planned program of activity to meet a clearly specified research objective.)
Budget: £10,000
Duration: Up to 2 years
Eligibility: Israeli researchers can apply as co-applicants with a UK-based PI
The PAZY Foundation is supported by the Israel Atomic Energy Committee and VATAT (Planning and Budgeting Committee for Israeli Universities). The call seeks relevant collaborative research proposals in physics, chemistry / chemical engineering, and engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, etc.)
There are three (3) submission tracks:
Standard Project Grants – Funded at max. 350,000 NIS per year for a period of up to 4 years. This program is based on the potential for scientific / technological innovation of an applied nature.
Young Researchers – Within 3 years of their original tenure track appointment are eligible. Increased funding is provided: max. 700,000 NIS per year for a period of up to 4 years.
Equipment Grants – Specific conditions apply, and the call text should be carefully reviewed.
The NZO Project at The Heschel Center for Sustainability and The Institute for Climate and Environmental Policy at Ben Gurion University of the Negev
Renewable Energy in Israel
The NZO Project at The Heschel Center for Sustainability, the Institute for Climate and Environmental Policy at Ben Gurion University of the Negev and the Vice President for Research and Development Prof. Raz Jelinek invite BGU researchers to collaborate on research to advance a renewable energy-based electricity grid in Israel. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen national energy security.
The purpose of this call for proposals is to promote productive collaboration between civil society and academia in order to provide high-quality knowledge to decision makers in shaping policies on renewable energy and an advanced, technological electricity grid ready for the challenges of the 21st century.
Research topics:Technological-economic model development, integration of innovative measures in the electricity grid, and behavioral studies.
Budget: 80,000 NIS per research project (depending on the overall budget and the number of selected studies)

Dr. Heni Haring - Assistant Director of the United States-Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF) will make a special presentation focusing on the proposal submission procedure, and especially the scientific committees are handled and work. In addition, there is a possibility for one-on-one meetings for researchers who wish to submit a proposal in the upcoming cycle and who have a special or particular matter to discuss.
The Israel Science Foundation (ISF) invites researchers to attend meetings about the review process at the foundation. Four meetings will be held, according to the disciplines covered by the foundation. The meetings will be led by a scientific director from the foundation, where the review process for the personal research grant track will be explained. Please note that the meetings will not cover the submission rules for the foundation, which are detailed and published in the guidelines on the website. Researchers who wish to participate are requested to register for the meeting relevant to their field. A link to the meeting will be sent to registered participants closer to the meeting date.
