The award is open to applications focusing on any disease or topic within the umbrella of pediatrics, offering the potential for practical solutions to these problems. Solutions should be innovative and have the potential for broad applicability with low barriers to implementation.

The ERC Proof of Concept Grants aim at facilitating exploration of the commercial and social innovation potential of ERC funded research and are therefore available only to Principal Investigators whose proposals draw substantially on their ERC funded research.
Budget: €150,000
Duration: 18 months
Eligibility: Only Principal Investigators in an ongoing main ERC grant or in a main ERC grant that has ended less than 12 months before 1 January 2024 are eligible to apply. The proposals for the Proof of Concepts grants should draw substantially on their ERC funded research.

For the past five years, a fruitful research collaboration has been ongoing between Ben-Gurion University and the rehabilitation village of Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran in the fields of rehabilitation and disabilities. In light of recent events that have heavily impacted the population of the south, Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran and Ben-Gurion University have decided to quickly redirect additional resources towards research that will advance rehabilitation medicine and treatment for people with disabilities. The research will be conducted in collaboration with BGU researchers and the staff of Adi-Negev.

The Ministry of Science and Technology and the Israeli Representation in Taiwan are calling on applications for the 6th International Hackathon to develop solutions for next-generation public infrastructure: digital and environmentally friendly.
· Digital solutions – Encouraging the use of data-focused products and applications;
· Green solutions – Aiming for greenhouse gas neutrality in the process.
