Silicom FPGA SmartNIC N5010 4x 100Gb with HBM Onboard

As part of a duo of SmartNIC announcements today, we have the Silicom FPGA SmartNIC N5010 which is perhaps the higher-end of the two solutions. Silicom has a history of building reference platforms for Intel and other networking companies and builds cards for various large OEMs. The FPGA SmartNIC N5010 is certainly one of the company’s higher-end offerings.

Silicom Ltd. has introduced the new Vigo DU

DU 2U Xeon-D2100 Intel® Based

Vigo DU   2U offers Edge Services for the Wireless 4G/5G market, the ability to host virtualize RAN (Radio Access Network) with a focus on L1 High-Phy and L2 MAC/RLC.
Vigo design is optimized for the Disaggregated RAN market as a virtualized Distributed Unit (vDU) with acceleration to High-Phy and specifically FEC.

 

Lisbon ACC100
Silicom’s eASIC ACC100 FEC Accelerator server adapter is based on the Intel vRAN Dedicated Accelerator ACC100, an Intel eASIC Nextreme-3S device.
The ACC100 is packaged in a 35mmx35mm FC1156 package with 1.0mm ball pitch (some balls are de-populated to facilitate break-out). The ACC100 provides 4G (Turbo) and 5G (LDPC) encode and decode via PCIe interface.
The PCIe shall be deployed in various Xeon based COTS servers ranging from dual-socket Xeon-SP rackmount implementations, single socket Xeon-SP Edge servers through to low-core-count (LCC) based Xeon-D servers.
