Sunken City

Sunken City plays a fusion of soul, tango, trip-hop, and jazz, with a focus on groove and welcoming darkness. Progressive ethics of feminist, economic, and social justice infuse their music along with elements of fantasy, introspection, and mysticism. Band members from a variety of musical backgrounds (jazz, spiritual, tango, rock, classical) work together produce a coherent sound fusing compatible elements from disparate genres.

Sunken City regulars Tara, Garrett, Justine, and David are joined for this concert by drummer Natalie Shelton-May.

Bruthr Pudge is a Jazz fusion trio based in Boston, MA. The core members include Reece Nelson on keys, Nick Doyle on drums, and Max Stopyra on bass. The group travels, gigs, and records contemporary jazz fusion with guest artists from all around the globe. They are currently working on their debut album, part of which will be previewed at live shows in the Boston area. Goth Prom w/ Forest, Exit 18, & inplainsight

Exit 18 is an independent rock outfit from Boston. Formed in 2016 by Julia Perry and Sean Leahy, the group became an engaging live act, releasing their first singles while still attending high school. With the release of “Seventeen” in 2019, the group had found its voice, setting the tone for their succeeding debut EP. “Get Well Soon” is a collection of melodically driven songs dealing with themes of disillusionment, the power dynamics of adolescent longing for ones opinions to be valued, and modern romance. Their second EP “Into the Mirror” was released in November 2021 led by single “Daddy’s Little Girl.” Their second single “Plastic Art” garnered high praise and was placed in two official Spotify playlists including ‘All New Rock’.

Exit 18 has since been awarded a NEMA for New Act of the Year 2019 as well as receiving the BMA nomination for Rock Act of the Year in 2019 and 2021.

inplainsight is a four-piece emo/pop-punk band based out of Boston, MA.Their music combines emotional lyrics with dark and powerful melodies, gritty guitars, and head-banging riffs to create dreamy, intricate, yet catchy songs about societal pressures, identity, love, and pain. In their music, they hope to create a safe space for those who feel lost, alone, unwanted, or isolated - whether it be through their blistering live shows or right there in one’s bedroom.

Out of a dimly lit basement in Chicago, and amongst the spray painted sidewalks on Fairfax, there blossoms a 21 year old rage child determined to disturb the alt-rock environment.  Aptly named 'Forest', her world is a seductive labyrinth of heartbreak, addiction, faith, and lust, calling out to the void of understanding her place in the world, or lack thereof. Influenced by the undertow of bands like Deftones, Mannequin Pussy, and Fleshwater, Forest’s music luxuriates the listener with narratives of growth, loss, and the furies of acceptance.  Forest's voice, both subtle and powerful, finds solace amidst thunderous drums, while her listeners are submerged head first into the distorted static of electric guitars. Her forthcoming EP entitled ‘Intravenous French Kiss”, dares to be an iridescent light in the shadows of underground music. Fusing shoegaze, post-punk, and alt-rock, Forest fearlessly pushes the limits of conventional songwriting. The result is an indulging amalgamation that defies understanding, captivating listeners with its unparalleled uniqueness and undeniable allure. Brace yourself for a wild ride.
