Forbes’ Impact Investing Community Will Convene for a Launch Event on Nov. 16, 2017

Forbes will Host its Inaugural Impact Investing Summit in June 2018 in New York City

NEW YORK (November 9, 2017) – Forbes Media announced today the launch of its invite-only Impact Investing Community which will convene the world’s most influential people – entrepreneurs, celebrities, family offices, athletes, investors, musicians, next-gen leaders and creators – to scale impact investing and influence culture.

The community will do more than just talk, it will drive capital and create an actual impact. To start, the Forbes Impact Investing Community will focus on themes like gender, energy and climate, sustainability, tech and blockchain, community building and infrastructure.

On November 16, Forbes will host a launch event in New York for the founding members of this community to kickstart the movement. This event will feature Forbes’ Impact Investing community’s all-star board of advisors, including: Erika Karp, CEO of Cornerstone Capital; Jean Case, CEO of The Case Foundation; Nancy Pfund, Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Partners; Humble Lukanga, Founder of Life Line Financial Group; Corey McGuire, Founder of Winston House; Nathalie Molina Niño, ‎Co-founder and CEO at BRAVA Investments; Justine Lucas, Executive Director of Clara Lionel Foundation; Abigail Noble, CEO of The ImPact; Justin Kamine, Managing Member of Kamine Development Corporation; and Régine Clément, CEO of CREO.

Speakers at the launch event include Actress Mary-Louise Parker, Artist and Entrepreneur ASAP Ferg, Laudato Si’ Challenge Co-Founder Lindsay Hadley, Co-Founder of Aspect Ventures Theresia Gouw, Impact Investor Ibrahim AlHusseini, ION360 Ron Garriques, Filmmaker and RebelHouse Partner Thomas Morgan, Founder of Good Wolf Group and Co-Author Adaptive Leadership Zander Grashow, plus impact investing pioneers like Erika Karp, Jean Case, and Nancy Pfund.

On June 12-13, 2018, Forbes will host the Forbes Impact Investing Summit in New York, which will include investor workshops, startup pipelines, explorer field trips, lightening talks, participatory conversations, performances and a real call to action.
