Forefront of Science

Oxygenation

   Life Sciences

A look at enzyme evolution suggests life figured out how to use oxygen long before the main event

Resistant multiple myeloma cells (violet-blue) in two samples, seen under a microscope

   Life Sciences

From bedside to bench and back: Researchers reveal a genetic signature that could help overcome drug resistance in some of the most aggressive forms of multiple myeloma

Cell Replacement by the Numbers

   Life Sciences

Mapping cellular turnover sheds light on the balance between renewal and stability in our bodies

   Life Sciences

Tracking how bacteria adopt new genes provides unique insight into their evolution, antibiotic resistance and the creation of useful bacteria in the lab

seasons

   Life Sciences

Millions of blood samples from Israel’s population reveal hormone swings over the course of the year

"Zoom Out" | Michael Druks

Stone Administration Building, ground floor
Curator: Yivsam Azgad

Visits must conform to the Purple Badge regulations. Due to the continuous updates of COVID-19 guidelines, please call before arriving on: 08-9344499.

There is nothing that we want to know more than what the future holds. What will tomorrow be like. What the next step of the “system” enveloping us, which we inhabit, will be. We – scientists, artists, humans, no matter who we are – strive to figure out the rules of the world’s game.

In the series of paintings presented in this exhibition, Michael Druks attempts, modestly, to offer us some “tools” to stimulate our thoughts and feelings, and to lead us on a journey of personal insights and discoveries about what our future may be.

Chlorophyll: The Molecule of Life
Thanks to chlorophyll, plants supply energy to all living things and provide us with oxygen. But there is still much left to discover about it
Plastic waste
Discarded plastics don’t just pollute the environment directly – new research shows that they also contribute to global greenhouse gas emissions
