Opportunities for Mid-Career Researchers: IIASA-Israel Program

The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is a research institute located in Laxenburg, near Vienna, Austria. Founded in 1972, IIASA conducts policy-oriented research into the critical issues of global environmental, economic, technological, and social change that we face today and that are too large or too complex to be solved by a single country or academic discipline.

The IIASA-Israel Program offers opportunities for researchers to develop their skills and expertise in systems analysis, and international and interdisciplinary research at IIASA. Researchers wishing to develop skills and expertise in systems analysis, and international and interdisciplinary research are invited to apply for the positions below. Positions are available for early and mid-career researchers along with senior researchers; and are made possible through Israel becoming a member of IIASA in December 2017. Selection will be made based on:
  1. The applicant’s academic credentials and background; applicants need to be a member of or affiliated to an academic or research institution in Israel.
  2. Synergies between the applicant’s current research and IIASA’s research agenda (see IIASA Research Plan 2016-2020); and
  3. The applicant’s potential to facilitate and forge long-term collaborations between the Israeli academic sector and IIASA.
