Calls for Proposals

 

Project Grants 


These grants are intended to support the research of established investigators. Awards are granted with the understanding that they will support specific projects under the direction of designated principal investigators. 

Preference is given to persons with more than three years of postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent experience prior to the award commencement date.


 

Research Career Development Awards (RCDAs)

The RCDA is a special grant for the enhancement of the research capabilities of young Israeli scientists in the formative phase of their careers who have demonstrated outstanding potential for contribution to cancer research as independent investigators. 

The awards are available for persons with research potential who need additional experience in a scientific environment that is conducive to the development of a career in independent research.  


Clinical Research Career Development Awards (CRCDAs)


These grants are intended to enhance the clinical research capabilities of young Israeli scientists in the formative phase of their careers, who have demonstrated outstanding potential for contribution to clinical cancer research as independent investigators. 


 

Research Professorship Grants 

This grant will be used to support a full-time, senior faculty member, or person in an equivalent position, who has made outstanding contributions to cancer research and who will continue to provide leadership in his or her research area. 

Applicants are expected to provide evidence of past accomplishments and, more importantly, demonstrate potential for continued enriching contributions to the cancer research field. 

The research experience and interest of the applicant may be in either basic biological science or in clinical research and must relate to cancer.

Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) and Conquer Cancer
Career Development Award 
 
 
The Conquer Cancer (CC) in collaboration with Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) Has announced Career Development Award (CDA).
This award provides funding to Israeli clinical investigators who have received their initial faculty appointment to establish an independent clinical cancer research program. This research must have a patient-oriented focus, including a clinical research study and/or translational research involving human subjects. 
Proposals with a predominant focus on in vitro or animal studies (even if clinically relevant) are not allowed. Application submissions in all oncology subspecialties are welcome.

EuroNanoMed3 and Israel Ministry of Health

Joint Transactional Call for Proposal (2020) - Pre Proposals   


EuroNanoMed is an ERA-NET Cofund on Nanomedicine for funding agencies and ministries to develop joint activities and programmes in order to coordinate high quality research in nanomedicine across national borders. 
The goal of this call is creating and funding collaborative research and innovation projects between public and private partners (European and non-Eu players) , that can convert research in nanotechnology into practical gains in medicine.

Project proposals will address multidisciplinary and translational research and need to cover at least one of the following areas that are equal in relevance for this call:
  • Regenerative medicine 
  • Diagnostics 
  • Targeted delivery systems
BGU researchers have been partners in funded projects over the past few years.

ERA PerMed 

 Personalized Medicine Joint Transnational Call 2020

Pre-Announcement


ERA PerMed is an ERA-NET Cofund  on Personalised Medicine (PM), supported by 32 partners of 23 countries and co-funded by the European Commission (EC). 
It aims to align national and regional research strategies and funding activities, promoting excellence, reinforcing the competitiveness of European players in PM, and enhancing the collaboration with non-EU countries.  

The call is planned to be launched in December 2019 with a submission deadline for pre-proposals in March 2020. It is expected, that consortia invited for the full-proposal stage, will need to submit their proposal on June 15th, 2020.

More details will be provided when the call is officially launched.

Security-Related Advanced technologies



The Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme is a policy tool that enhances cooperation and dialogue with all partners, based on scientific research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

In order to address the challenges and opportunities raised by innovative and disruptive technologies, the call will focus on the following areas:
  • Data science and Artificial Intelligence
  • Communication systems
  • Material science
  • Sensors and detectors
  • Autonomy and counter-autonomy
  • Technological convergence
Proposals shall specifically respond to one or more of the identified areas.

Special Call On Explosives Detection


NATO aims to support the development of new capabilities and technologies to tackle the significant threat posed by explosive hazards, and to manage the consequences of their proliferation.  
The SPS Programme addresses the following key priorities and areas in the field of Mine and Unexploded Ordnance Detection and Clearance:
  • Multi-Sensor Systems
  • End users information and decisionmaking process.
  • Active and ongoing review of past projects to drive future works
  • New and Rapidly Developing Technologies
  • Data analysis
  • Preparation for Actual Field Conditions
  • Dissemination and Capacity Building

 

Applications must be made by project directors from at least one NATO Member Country and one Co-Director from a NATO Partner Country

ICA in Israel - Jewish Charitable association 

Call for Proposals 2020 - Pre-Proposal


The Jewish Charitable Association started its operation in Israel in 1900.
Overthe last years, ICA has concentrated its activities on the development of the peripheral areas of Galilee and the Negev. ICA supports novel projects in the fields of education, agriculture and tourism in rural areas.

Entrepreneurs and researchers are invited to submit their proposals for financial aid in accordance to the foundation’s guidelines.
