DIP - German-Israel Research collaboration

Call for Internal Pre-Proposals 


DFG is the agency that funds the DIP program, which supports large-scale cutting edge collaborative research between German and Israeli scientists in all fields of research (Excluding Social Sciences and Humanities).
 Each Israeli university is limited to submitting 2 proposals, therefore BGU will selects its 2 via an internal pre-proposal process.


 Priority will be given to the inclusion of young researchers and former proven collaboration with a German partner. 

Please note, early consultation with RDA staff is essential. If you consider yourself a candidate, please update the RDA staff.

EuroNanoMed3 and Israel Ministry of Health

Joint Transactional Call for Proposal (2020) - Pre-Announcement   


EuroNanoMed is a platform for funding agencies and ministries. The goal is creating and funding collaborative research and innovation projects that can convert research in nanotechnology into practical gains in medicine.

Project proposals will address multidisciplinary and translational research and need to cover at least one of the following areas that are equal in relevance for this call:
  • Regenerative medicine 
  • Diagnostics 
  • Targeted delivery systems
BGU researchers have been partners in funded projects over the past few years.
The Call is expected to become official on November 14, 2019 with the anticipated deadline to be mid - January.

Environmental Research & Education Foundation - EREF

Research in Sustainable Solid Waste Management-Preproposals   


The foundation funds scientific research and educational initiatives for waste management practices to benefit industry participants and the communities they serve.

Pre-proposal topics must relate to sustainable solid waste management practices. In addition to, or as part of hypothesis-driven applied research, they must also include: economic or cost/benefit analyses, feasibility studies for untested technologies or management strategies, life cycle analysis or inventory, and analyses of policies that relate to the above.

Swiss National Science Foundation Sinergia 

Programme 2019   

  
Sinergia promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between two to four research groups whose project involves breakthrough research.

Applicants may be based at two or more institutions of higher education or other research institutions outside the higher education sector that are eligible for funding in Switzerland.

BrightFocus Foundation

National Glaucoma Research   


BrightFocus provides funds to researchers pursuing pioneering research leading to greater understanding, prevention, and treatment of glaucoma.

Preference is made for exciting pilot projects that would not, at their present stage, be competitive for large government or industry awards. Typically, these funds are awarded to early stage investigators, or to more established investigators who are proposing particularly innovative research.
