Call for Proposals
   
The Ministry of Science and Technology - Call for Proposals on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Italy and Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation for the Italian Side, and the Israel Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) - invite Israeli and Italian scientists to submit proposals for joint research projects in the following areas:
  • Targeted drug delivery - Generating pharmacologically effective drug concentration at the site of disease while keeping a very low/minimal drug concentration in other sites that are not involved with the disease. 
  • Green chemistry and development of novel environmentally friendly materials - Novel environmentally friendly materials are significantly less harmful for the environment than existing materials for their whole life cycle.

Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development & Organization of Field Crop Cultivators - Winter Field Crops for 2020

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in conjunction with the Organization of Field Crop Cultivators, has issued a call for proposals  on winter field crops for 2020. 
Priority will be given to works that will meet the industry's goals.


Proposals should be sent digitally to Hila Malka (Coordinator of the Bureau, Agroecology and GHD, Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

Michael J. Fox Foundation - Parkinson’s Disease Biosamples (Pre-Proposals)

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is now accepting pre-proposals for Parkinson’s Disease Biosamples Request for Applications (RFA).
The Foundation is especially interested in studies that focus on: 
  • Assay development and validation for novel biomarkers
  • Biomarker replication and validation of promising measures that are associated  with Parkinson’s or progression  
  • Target discovery and validation

NEW - Propionic Acidemia Foundation  

PAF is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to help advance research devoted to finding  treatments and a cure for propionic acidemia.

1) Research Projects – This program funds research in the areas of basic and clinical science, supporting projects designed to understand the molecular basis of the PA pathology and explore possible therapeutic avenues for the treatment of this condition.
2) Fellows Program - This program provides financial support for a metabolic/genetic fellow working on a research project in PA.

 EU Calls for 2020 - Main Topics for NMBP WP  

The EU has officially launched the calls for 2020. See below for the main topics under the WP of NMBP- Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing.

The NMBP Work Program contains the following main topics:

Special Notes for Applicants

  1. New Applicants - At the last meeting of GIF Board of Governors which took place in July 2019, it was decided (due to temporary financial constraints) to postpone the opening of the GIF submission website for the upcoming cycle. The new date is still unknown. Please follow   GIF homepage  for the new date.  

  2. 2018's Applicants - The decisions about the proposals submitted in the fall of 2018 will be sent by email to each of the applicants by mid-August.   
Any additional updates related to the above subjects that will be published on the GIF website - will be posted in the following RDA  newsletter
