BSF "Regular" and "Start-Up" Research Grants Program
 
The BSF website will open on September 1, 2019 for submissions to its “Regular” and “Start-up” Programs in the following disciplines:
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Health Sciences
  • Life Sciences (including Ecology; sub-areas of Ecology can be found in the attached document)
  • Psychobiology 
A “Start-up” applicant may be no more than 10 years since the completion of PhD/MD studies.

Israel Ministry of Agriculture - "Nitzan - Noah's Ark" Program - Algae
 
The Chief Scientist of the Israel Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a call for proposals in collaboration with Nitzan – The Noah's Ark Program.
The "Nitzan – Noah's Ark" program will be funding the development of knowledge, technologies or products from the field of algae.
The purpose of this call is to promote research and cooperation between commercial companies and research institutes,  and generate significant growth to the algae industry in Israel in the coming years.
 
Please note:
  1. The proposal must be supervised by B.G. Negev (see below for contact person), and final submission is by the RDA to the Ministry.
  2. The deadline to the foundation is immediately following the BGU Summer Break. Any researcher who intends to submit a proposal, must finalize all the details of the application with B.G.Negev and RDA no later than 22.8.19.

Israel Ministry of Science, Technology and Space – Israel-Italy Technological Cooperation | Joint Laboratories Pre-Proposal
 
The purpose of the program is to develop joint laboratories in any research area of mutual interest, with the aim of strengthening scientific & technological collaborations between the two countries. 
 
Israeli-Italian research teams are invited to submit Joint Laboratory proposals for the  establishment of one Italy-Israel joint laboratory on the theme “Precision Agriculture”.

Wings for Life - Basic and Clinical Research on Spinal Cord Injury
 
Research projects should address all aspects of spinal cord lesions, nerve regeneration, trophic support of injured neurons and functional changes induced by lesions (preferentially in mammals). For further information, please see Key Areas of Research.

Fritz Thyssen - Humanities, Social sciences and Biomedicine
 
Fritz Thyssen Foundation focuses on scholars in the humanities, social science and biomedicine fields.  
An application for support in research can be submitted in the following areas:  History, Language & Culture, The interdisciplinary field "Image-Sound-Language", State, Economy and Society & Medicine and Natural Sciences.
Please note that funding is basically reserved for projects that have a clear connection to the German research system.
