JSPS-ISF Joint Academic Research Program-
Life Sciences and Medicine - Update
 
The program promotes research collaboration among Israeli and Japanese scientists, with support provided by an agreement between the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). 
 
Areas of research: cooperation in the fields of Life Sciences and Medicine
 
Update - this track is relevant only to researchers who have an active Individual Research Grant, with at least two years remaining of the grant, not including an extension  year (at the time of submission).
 
Two proposals are to be submitted:
  • The Japanese collaborator will submit an application to the JSPS (in Japanese). 
  • The Israeli researcher will submit an administrative application.
Prior registration at ISF Online is mandatory by August 06, 2019   (13:00 pm)
RDA Deadline: an administrative application for the Israeli PI must be submitted by August 07, 2019.

Israel Ministry of Science and Technology –
Strategic Research Program
 
The Ministry of Science and Technology has issued a call for submission of research proposals for 2020 in the field of space.
 
Topics:
  • Observations from space towards Earth
  • Development of equipment, components, sub-systems and complexes for spacecraft platforms and space-supporting space segments
  • Observations from space to the depths of the universe
Preference will be given to funding studies in which there will be high-level interdisciplinary and inter-institutional cooperation with practical and economic potential that could improve Israel's competitive ability and position at the forefront of science and technology in the world in space.

Israel Ministry of Education
 
The Chief Scientist's office in the Israel Ministry of Education has issued a call for proposals on the subject of Infrastructures and organizational procedures to promote emotional and social skills in middle schools. 
 
Objectives:
  • Identifying or formulating a successful, research-based model that focuses on creation, promotion and conservation of organizational environments (community, school and classroom) that advance social and emotional skills in junior high schools.
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of a program for training principals and teachers to implement this program in Junior high schools.

Become an Horizon 2020 expert evaluator

Prof. Yoram Kapulnik, Director of BARD - will deliver a talk on the agency's new programs, with the intention of encouraging an increase in the number of submissions.
