Spring is here again bringing as always energy and motivation. We all know by
now, that business relations and cooperation between people in both countries, create the solid bridge to success and growth,and we at the IBCC, keep creating innovating business and opportunities.
 
After a fruitful 2017 which was highlighted by the COBCOE Award of Excellence granted to the IBCC, we had a great first quarter of 2018. We started up the "Breakfast Club" activities, took a significant part in the Tel-Aviv Fintech week and have been collaborating with our member and strategic partner, KPMG, in the organization of inward and outward delegations.
 
We thank our close partners, for presenting and exploring existing and new avenues for us all to benefit and share.

Michael Gove celebrates Israel's "light to the world" at CFI's Annual Business Lunch attended by 170 Conservative parliamentarians.
Rt. Hon. Michael Gove MP underlined his staunch support for Israel and condemned “dark and furious” activism against the Jewish State. The Annual Business Lunch was attended by 700 guests, including 170 Conservative gathered at the annual lunch. Mr. Gove described Israel as “a light to the world”, which he prays “burns brightly for all time”. He added that “no greater success story could have been invented, and no greater source of hope could have been imagined than the creation, preservation and present thriving of the world’s one and only Jewish state”. The event was also addressed by Minister for the Middle East, Rt. Hon. Alistair Burt MP, Ambassador of Israel, H.E. Mark Regev, former CFI Parliamentary Chairman Rt. Hon. Sir Eric Pickles, and CFI’s Honorary President Lord Polak CBE.

 

The IBCC launched at the end of December the IBCC Breakfast Club which will host existing and new members for  breakfast,networking and inspiring key speakers.
 
The first event took place with the cooperation of KPMG and the key speaker was Charles Golding, from Bowtie Media, a British media Trainer & communications consultant who led the guests through tips and insights for marketing in the UK .

 

The IBCC participated in the Israel's 4th Foreign Law Firms Conference that was held in Tel Aviv together with the Israel Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Over 400 attendees, with over 130 representatives of international law firms from over 20 countries and leading Israeli attorneys, GCs, CEOs, CPAs visited the biggest international legal networking event of 2018. The conference included panels such as hostile takeover, cyber security, fintech, artificial intelligence and more.

 

The second breakfast club event hosted at the "Milk and Honey Distillery" in Tel Aviv, where the CEO Eitan Attir told the company's story as an example of Israel-British Business connection.
 
The Distillery, established in Israel, involves British tech and imports UK raw materials and works, with both the Israeli and UK Authorities. The CEO explained about the unique funding model and gave the guests a tour which included whisky tastes.

 

IBCC partnered with the Fintech week Tel Aviv 2018 that was focused on theemerging trends in the Fintech world, covering all topics from virtual coin and ICO, to cyber issues, marketplace landing and the future of banking.
 
The event was joined by decision makers, influencers, investors and start ups from across the world, for three days of presentations, deliberation and networking.

 

  • In January 2018, the Mayor of London visited Israel for a few days hosted by the UK Ambassador David Quarry including a dinner with leading Israeli Companies.
  • The successful Big Data Conference took place in Tel Aviv and attracted leading companies and lurge number of start ups. Where KPMG was one of the major sponsor.
